If John Denver sang about it, it must be true.

I meant like does it suggest a 10k oil change or something? How long does it take to get to 5% or 15%?

sorry for the confusion

Of course not. That’s against company policy.

perhaps John Denver was born in an already airborne plane and was thus already one up on landings

Nah, if it isn’t mentioned in Wikipedia, it didn’t happen. Everyone knows that.

Our Honda wants a change every 4-5k miles, but once I sent a sample to Blackstone and they said “9,500 miles” I started ignoring the car. Subsequent 2 samples were stellar at 9k+ intervals, and that’s with mostly city driving. Pretty incredible, not something I have ever experienced before.

On my Fit, with the type of driving I do, I get down to 15% of oil life after doing around 10,000 to 11,000km (~6200 to 7000 miles) . I find that driving in cold weather and having more cold starts causes the oil to get ‘used up’ faster.

Also it feels like the Fit doesn’t like temps below freezing.
